We were doing so well....

Last week was such a great week! We found out that our dossier was in Vietnam being translated. Our application for preapproval of bringing an orphan home has been approved. We even received it. Of course, I had a copy notarized and mailed off to the Capital to be apostilled. It was received, processed, and mailed out by Monday morning. The problem is that it is now Friday evening and I have NO idea where it is! A worker at the Capital confirmed that it did leave their office on Monday morning. Our local post office has NO idea why it doesn't show up on the online tracking. At this point, I am holding out hope that it will show tomorrow and I can still get it FedEx'd to the Consulate on Monday.

Things were going TOO well for us.

Still hoping to be logged in soon,
as I fear that my police clearance and our medicals
are about to expire.

Editted to add....I looked at our forms and saw that our medicals and employment letters were written in July, so I think they will be fine. My husband's police clearance was reissued when the other was shredded by the state. That leaves just my clearance that I think I need replaced. I have asked our agency if it will need to be state sealed and authenticated again. That would be another $75 or so...and MORE time.....YUCK!!!

Their response was....The only thing that falls in the 6 month category now is the health certificate. So we should be OK. I will send for a new clearance though, just to have on hand. It is the one thing that I have to send away for and cannot get in day.
