We Had THE Talk

This happened back in May

Mr Mellott and I discussed the idea of adoption before we were married. There is a family in his church adopted 2 children from Korea. Ever since, it has been an idea that he has considered. I agreed that I thought it was a wonderful idea!

Between our kids, I miscarried twins and we discussed it again. We contacted some agencies and even some basic paperwork. I became pregnant with Abram though and we let it go.

In April, Mr Mellott and I discussed revisiting the idea of adoption (something we discussed a bit last summer). He just shrugged.

A week later, I again said something and he told me to "Save Your Money!!".

In May though, we were in the car and the kids were sleeping, when I asked him if he was going to give me a straight answer, or just flippant ones. He said, "Yes, Let's Do It!". I was floored!! Good thing I was driving at the time. We went on to actually had THE talk that afternoon. He was ALL FOR THE IDEA!!!
